RMS 2017-18 Renaissance Program

2017-2018

The Renaissance Program is in its sixth year at RMS. The theme for this year is BULLDOGS TRANSFORM : Wisdom cannot be granted.  It must be earned, sometimes at a cost.

For those of you familiar with Renaissance from other schools, our program is a similar system of rewards, blended with some of our own special touches to make it something that truly represents RMS’s dedication to excellence.

It is important to focus on the positive aspects of our learning environment. As such, those students who choose to be involved and meet the expectations of this program will have special rewards and privileges for their commitment to success. Renaissance provides incentives for students who make As, Bs, and Cs, with no office referrals, no Ns or Us for their conduct grades, and no excessive absences. Students will be evaluated at the end of each 9 weeks.

At RMS we hope that students will consistently make positive decisions in the classroom and throughout the school. As educators we recognize it’s still cool to do the right thing, and when students do, they will be acknowledged for those positive decisions. Please show your support by encouraging your students to be a part of the Renaissance Program.

How Does It Work? Renaissance uses a level-of-privilege system to reward those who qualify. Depending on a student’s performance, they are rewarded with a card detailing their new privileges:
