RMS 2016-17 Renaissance Program

The Success is Strong

The Renaissance Program is in its fifth year at RMS. The theme for this year is Star Wars: The Success Is Strong With This One. For those of you familiar with Renaissance from other schools, our program is a similar system of rewards, blended with some of our own special touches to make it something that truly represents RMS’s dedication to excellence.

It is important to focus on the positive aspects of our learning environment. Students who choose to be involved and meet the expectations of this program will have special rewards and privileges due to their commitment to success. Renaissance provides incentives for students who make As, Bs, and Cs, with no office referrals, no Ns or Us for their conduct grades, and no excessive absences. Students will be evaluated at the end of each 9 weeks.

At RMS, we want students to be successful both academically and with their behavior. When students are successful, they will be acknowledged for those positive decisions. Please show your support by encouraging your child to be a part of the Renaissance Program.

How Does It Work? Renaissance uses a level-of-privilege system to reward those who qualify. Depending on a student’s performance, they are rewarded with specific privileges based on their level:

Some incentives include:

  • Field Trips
  • Semester Celebrations (with games and prizes)
  • T-shirts
  • Reduced admission to home games (Gold – free, Silver – $1, Bronze – $2)
  • Student Recognition: 2 students are chosen every two weeks from each team for going above and beyond in the classroom and showing that their mission is possible. These students receive a free lunch from a local restaurant. Are There Any Questions?
