Rossville Middle School is located in Rossville, GA, six miles from downtown Chattanooga, TN. RMS is a member school in the Walker County Schools District and a competing member of the North Georgia Athletic Conference (NGAC). In 2021, Rossville Middle School met the criteria for educational quality established by the Cognia Global Commission and was accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement.
The history of Rossville Middle School can be traced to the founding of Rossville High School in 1923. In 1989, Ridgeland High School was founded by the merger of Rossville High and Chattanooga Valley High School. In that year, Rossville Middle School was founded and continued to operate on the high school campus in downtown Rossville until it moved to its current location on 316 Bulldog Trail in 2008.
